Policymakers Join Grand Opening of State-of-the-Art Evernorth Specialty Care Facility in Delaware

On Oct. 29, Evernorth celebrated the grand opening of its largest and most advanced specialty pharmacy and distribution facility in the United States. Each year, the new Newark, DE facility is expected to dispense 1.5M specialty prescriptions from Accredo and distribute 200,000 orders of complex medications from CuraScript SD, improving access for patients with chronic and rare conditions.

The event was attended by several elected officials, including U.S. Representative Sarah McBride (D-DE) and Delaware Governor Matt Meyer (D). Their presence underscored the importance of our efforts to advance health care infrastructure and access. “This facility has been designed from the ground up to serve patients with complex medication needs faster, safer, and more efficiently than ever before,” said Matt Perlberg, President, Pharmacy and Care Delivery, Evernorth Health Services. “We are thrilled to celebrate what is our largest and most advanced specialty care facility in the U.S. and thank Governor Meyer and the entire Newark community for supporting our work.”
