Gov. Katie Hobbs (D) signed an executive order to join ArrayRx, a multi-state public pharmacy collaborative that offers patients discounts on prescription drugs. Arizona joins a consortium of five other states participating in the ArrayRx PBM platform and related pharmacy savings programs.

According to the governor, this action will strengthen the state’s negotiating power and demonstrate the state’s commitment to create people-centered solutions to address the high drug costs. Arizonans who use the discount card program will be able to lower the cost of their prescription drugs by up to 80% on generic drugs and 18% on some brand-name drugs.

The uninsured and residents with high-deductible health plans are expected to benefit most from the savings.
