Federal policymakers recently visited Express Scripts and Accredo sites across the country to get a firsthand look at how our employees work every day to improve the health and vitality of those we serve. With the support and partnership from colleagues across the enterprise, these visits enable us to showcase our commitment to patients as well as the innovation and teamwork that make it possible.

On Aug. 12, the Accredo team in Memphis, TN opened its doors to Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) and Sen. Bill Hagerty (R-TN) staffers. By providing impactful exposure to multiple aspects of Accredo’s capabilities, we were able to help staffers distinguish Accredo’s specialty pharmacy model from chain and independent pharmacies. Rachel Burks, Accredo Employee Ambassador and Clinical Nurse Manager, also offered insights into the services provided by our nurses.

That same week, Rep. Chris Deluzio (D-PA) toured the Accredo facility in Warrendale, PA. Deluzio was immediately engaged on the topics, the economic impact of the facility on the community, and was impressed by the operations and services offered.

On Aug. 25, Reps. Angie Craig (D-MN) and Eric Burlison (R-MO) visited the Express Scripts Pharmacy and Lab in St. Louis, MO. Both representatives also had the opportunity to meet with leadership to learn more about the value Express Scripts provides to patients, clients, and the U.S. health care system.
