On Nov. 6, House Energy and Commerce Committee Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) sent letters to five federal agencies, including the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), urging the Biden-Harris administration appointees to abandon partisan efforts.

She noted that the election results mean the agency leadership will soon change and, “As a traditional part of the peaceful transfer of power, the [agency] should immediately stop work on any partisan or controversial item under consideration, consistent with applicable law and regulation.”

In her letter to the FTC, she told Chair Lina Khan to focus on the “many bipartisan, consensus items that the FTC could pursue to fulfill its mission before the end of your tenure.”
